What Covid19 precautions would you accept in order to attend a LAN

We were having a discussion about some of the precautions that the government or the hall may impose on group gatherings. Because at Breach we're in such close quarters for such an extended time, some people may not be prepared to tolerate these restrictions.

It will help us make a decision about if a LAN is to go ahead or not if we have a good understanding of what you guys will and won't accept. There's no point in us making a booking with the hall based on XYZ Covid19 restrictions if the majority of our customers won't tolerate X and Z.

So please let us know what you think. Is there anything that you won't accept, anything that you're reluctant to accept, and anything that just doesn't bother you at all.

Thanks.

I'll start.

Unbearable - Things I can't tolerate.
Facemasks if required for more than 30 minutes. They give me headaches.
Preventing our sleeping area. If we can't have our sleeping area as normal this would be impossible for me to come to the LAN.
Plex dividers between desks - I don't want to spend money buying these things.
LAN shorter than 24hrs - Not worth the effort for a LAN shorter than 24hrs.

Reluctant - Things I'll accept if necessary
Distancing - Don't really want to have to worry the entire time about spacing desks / sleeping space out that much further
One way systems - To try and maintain distancing
No music
Shorter LANS - As long as it's a minimum 24hr

Don't care - Things I don't care about
Regular handwashing / Gel / Foam cleaning - Just doesn't bother me at all.
Kitchen / Desk hygiene measures - Don't care

Unbearable
- Preventing the sleeping area
- LAN shorter than 24hrs

Reluctant
- Facemasks for long periods. I've had them on all day at my work anyways, I'm used to it.
- Shorter LANs
- Social distancing in the hall and sleeping area
- One-way walking system
- Dividers between desks

Don't care
- Handwashing, sanitising and general virus preventative hygiene. Used to that.
- Desk and kitchen hygiene
- Music or no music. I love the music, but it not being there won't stop me attending.

Let's see - roughly based on your lists:

Unbearable
Lack of sleeping area.
Very short (<24h) LANs - I'm the one regularly bringing a laptop and it still doesn't seem worth it.

Reluctant
Distancing
Shorter LANs
No music - I will attempt, as I believe is relevant to the issue, to avoid bursting into song.

One-way walking systems

Don't care
The rest of the points brought up I believe I could manage - if it had to be alcohol free I could also manage that.

It looks like there is a broad consensus about what is and isn't acceptable. Thanks very much everyone.
