Zen offer excellent tech support, they have a hard usage cap of 10,50 or 100 gb per month. But their service is totally free of traffic shaping unlike Virgin, Plusnet, BT etc. Plusnet shape the crap out of your connection even if you go with their pro additions and run a seriously contended...

Does that chart apply to DSL based virgin products or just cable?

Despite my dislike of apple, they do have really good customer after service. It might be worth seeing what sort of trade in deal you'd get in store for a new one. I know one of my friends got a replacement ipod for cheap after his daughters one packed up outside of warranty.
