Hi Guys
This was banded about last night over mumble but we have the option and the tools to run our own stand-alone player database. The upside of this is that we do not have to dedicate massive amounts of CPU time to running a public server.
Looking at what I'd like to get out of DayZ and looking at what people do with a fresh server (hoard vehicles and resources) I'd like to restrict access. This would allow us to have our own world and try out lingor island too
Seeing as people now shoot first and ask questions later we can run a private server, alter spawn items etc - but not without us having a discussion on balance first.
So what do you guys think?
