dLAN - Gauging interest

Just wondering how many people would be up for a Saturday or Sunday of FPS some time soon?

I'm talking L4D, KF, OFP2 etc, i am open to suggestions too


I'm based up in Cove Bay and have room for 2 extra people to play (myself and Dioxin will be there) if anyone is interested just drop a post here, if i get alot of responses then i may consider making this a regular thing

Obviously as i'm not really known on here some of you may be thinking you will be murdered on site, i can ensure you that i am not a serial killer but if you wanna meet me first i'll be at the next BL event :D


No dates or anything set yet, just gauging interest at the mo

Kf freebie weekend!

It should possibly also be mentioned that Killing Floor is releasing a HUGE free bunch of content, AND that its free this weekend for nubs that havent bought it yet (in addition 25% discount if you purchase it this weekend as well)

So I'll be gutting zombies left right and centre with all the new weapons trying to get my perks levelled.

Tentatively I've planned to be at Xyphious's place late Friday through to Sunday.

Well if people are interested i don't mind this weekend yeah, got nothing planned so it'd work out well for me.

Plan is Saturday or Sunday, whatever works best for everyone


Well done on nearly getting Mr Perky! I've got me 3 level 5's so i'm going to concentrate on levelling either support or sharpshooter to level 6 before i finish the rest

My KF Stats

Unless the level 6 requirements are utterly mental my perk stats are as follows

Medic: Practically level 6
Support: Just Past Level 5 (just the damage I'd need to up for level 6)
Sharpie: Practically Level 6
Commando: Practical Level 6 just need to up Stalker kills a little
Berserker: midway to level 3
Firebug: midway to level 4

I just dont like playing firebug or berserker enough to level erm.

Although Firebug lvl5 is ferocious as a round 1 starter

This weekend im well up for it. I might well have DJ work on Friday and Saturday so il see if I can be there for the whole thing.


EDIT - I've also got Dave's Win7 party on Sunday. WINNAR

Thats cool, i was thinking Saturday from 12 thru til everyone gets bored/passes out, if you are 100% interested in coming along just drop me a PM and i'll send you my address.

All you need to bring is your system and pizza/beer money if you are wanting either....oh and a decent sized lan cable if you wanna be wired in!

I work on a Saturday till 2pm so I could be round there from 3pm onwards

Asking ur pemission, could I move the Win 7 party to yours for the Sunday?

Edit: didn't see it was a 1 day lan...

Right, just sent Dave a message to confirm that Saturday round my place from 3 is cool. If anything crops up just PM me.

If this goes off alright i'll make sure i host another soon, maybe with a few more people if i can tetris y'all in!

I won't lie, its gonna be a tad cramped but i'm sure we can make it work!

Dioxin, lest you forget we do live in Scotland and its pretty much winter. If i open a window we'll be sub-zero within 5, i think we'll be alright.

OK so the final run down is myself, Dioxin, Deep Blue & Dave. Gemini dropped me a mesasge to tell me he's busy on Saturday but i'm probably going to make it a 2 day-er if people are up for it, then we can have Gemini join us on Sunday.

If you do want to stay over make sure you bring a sleeping bag or something, i've got a few duvets and stuff laying around but i don't want y'all to freeze to death!

Hey ZeroG, if you are interested in coming we should be able to fit you in, i've got a space for Gemini reserved on Sunday though and it may get a bit cramped with 6 people

If you want to come just drop me a PM and i'll send you on my address

Also i don't know who intends on staying over, i've definitely got Dioxin staying and Dave & Deep Blue get first dibs on the other sofa. I'll be able to fit someone (maybe 2 people) on the floor but with all the systems setup it could be a bit tight! Guess we'll see....also bring a sleeping bag if you do wanna stay
