External HDD?

Just wondering what this is used for? I presume an ordinary HDD would do (laptop)

HDD's are for storing data on a portable device...they usually plug in to the USB Port.

*facepalm, sorry didnt make myself clear XD i mean on the list of things to bring there is an external hdd what do i need that for?

We have a load of steam backups available on site for all of the games that we play at BreachLAN, including updates, patches etc.

Although you can grab this off of the network, sometimes its easier to do with an external (portable) hard drive.

The stuff you really need I've listed below

PC, Monitor and all cables / peripherals that you require (keyboard, mouse, gamepad, mouse mat)

4 way power extension - you get 1 power socket

All your games discs / Windows discs / Anti Virus (for a complete reinstall if things go belly up)

Sleeping bag, pillow, wash bag, change of clothes

Money for food (bring some too, cause its a bit of a drive to the shops)

we usually run in the 20-30 player range, which is enough for some big games of just about everything (UT2004, TF2, etc)

Forgot to say that we room at our current, awesome venue for 50 gamers

Awesome ive got the same, mine are black i Also LOVE them, i acctually use the mic to record my acoustic guitar for solo'ing loops
