Middlands Lan

Thinking of trying to get a lan going in the middlands as Aberdeen is an awfully long way to go. Looked into hiring the Leicester scout center and its about £12/night/person. It has enough power to run plenty of machines, showers, a big kitchin, 2 dormitories so sounds like a possibility. Also got a gew mates who are network technitians in various places with a 40 port switch and enough know how to make the internet again.

Anyone interested?

Awesome, the more the merrier. If anyone would be up for being staff as well that would be awfully handy as I know and trust the Breach guy a lot more than the 5punk lot (they are awesome guys but known you lot longer).

Ok, this is looking more and more like it’s going ahead! Never expected this much interest .

Just a thought after reading the Cupcake Assassins latest cookie case thing (lol). As there is a BIG kitchen in the venue for catering up to 100 you would be more than welcome to come down and sell your cakes down here. Raise the profile of your baking in the midlands. It is an awfully long way to go though.

Dex at some point, if you could spare some time it would be very valuable to get any advice you can give on organizing lans. I always try and learn from other peoples mistakes if I can, makes the learning process less painful.

I will flesh out a date that doesnt conflict with Breach at all and then we can get an idea of numbers.

Looks like mid August would be best, right between the early July and late Sept lans then.

Dates are looking harder and harder, August conflicts with one of 5punks events and an i series lan so looks like october will be more realistic.
