Respawn Entertainment

I've been reading around a bit tonight, and found good news for FPS gaming - Respawn Entertainment, made up of mainly ex-call of duty staff (at least 40 people from infinity ward joined RE).
They ARE working on a new game, however it is going to be a long way off for the moment.
Also, reading on their own site, a post by the community manager states this:

One small thing: I am absolutely aware of any and all feelings concerning dedicated servers. But let’s discuss that later…

To me that reads like - Yeah, we know exactly what you guys want, and you're not getting it from the other studios, although it does leave it open enough to do a BFBC2 and have dedicated servers but not publicly release the software (that is another EA game, so we may have to put up with EA making them do that...)

Interesting. But as you say it'll be a long time if ever before we see anything from these guys. Even if you're starting out with a bunch of seasoned professionals starting a game studio from scratch ain't easy.
