It's available on the G1 as well. I am just installing it so will give a brief review soon.

OK tried it. Pretty Impressed.

I tried 4 tracks from common to obscure. The tracks were:

Avril lavigne - Complicated
Linkin Park - One Step Closer
Innerpartysyste - Don't Stop
And the theme from Neon Genesis Evangelion.

It didn't pick up Complicated from the intro but once the singing started it got it.

It got the others first time (I think it got Cruel Angels Thesis but it was in japanese lol)

So pretty good. Would recommend it for finding the name of a song you don't know.

Apparently it has a very high success rate in identifying music. I had this option on my Sony Ericsson phone but it wasn't really that great.

I use this app on my iPhone all the time .... but there is a new one on the app store which has more options than Shazam and works just as good.

I've also been using it for ages, and it's incredibility handy!

I know the app stu's on about, but i cant remember it's name... You can hum the tune, say/sing the words, type the words, whistle the tune, and i'll find it.

With midomi, you can search for music in FOUR different ways.

- SING: just sing or hum a few seconds of a song, and midomi will find it!
- GRAB: hold your phone to a speaker playing original music for a few seconds, and midomi will identify what's playing!
- SAY: it's easier than typing. Just say the song or artist name you're looking for, and midomi will find it!
- TYPE: The old fashioned way to search, but no need to spell it right. Just type a song or artist name the way it sounds, and midomi will find it!

Once you find a song, see the YouTube video, or buy it from iTunes. You can also see artist photos, albums, and biographies, even browse midomi.com user profiles, see their pictures, listen to their recordings, and lots of other cool things.
