Hey guys, having an ongoing niggle trying to get my steam folder from my C: to K:

tried copy/pasting, K: version doesn't work and i can't find anything in the Steam settings.

I would reccomend making a backup of your steamapps folder (and any game saves that aren't in the folder, just to be sure) then uninstall steam. After that, reinstall, but tell steam to install to a folder on K:. Once you've installed, you can then just restore your steamapps folder into the new steam directory, and when you start steam after that, your games should work as they did before.

Hope that helps :)

There is a way you can link to another folder elsewhere to run games from. I've never setup this method. I just usually do what Skull suggests.

Yeah, it is possible to set up symbolic links, but that's a lot of hassle, and unless you need it for running say certain files from an ssd and others from a normal hard drive, I'd always suggest just running the entire steam directory from another hard drive.
