Just baught Flatout: UC from steam and found it dont fucking work on laptops!!!!!

Left 4 Dead is not a LAN game , requires steam friends to be online so you can join games (using same account does not work as found out at gemini's lan last week)

Not strictly true.

AIM found a way where you can do that. Requires setting the server to start in LAN mode, then starting the server via the console. That also allows more than one steam account to connect to the server on the proviso that they cant change their screen name.

As of yet thats untested on dedicated servers. But listen servers work just fine.

Will need to try this out as per offline mode on steam, but rest assured if we need internet access to log into steam friends etc to get L4D local multiplayer working, then internet access will be available
