The Janet network is for schools and uni's across the country. And it's locked down tighter than Buckingham Palace.

Living in uni accomodation you can't access Steam, Torrents, Battle.net, Xbox Live, PSN, Adult entertainment websites.

There's a lesson there somewhere.

If it's an abshire school then chances are it's got some wan link to woodhill house, in aberdeen, which then gets linked into the JANET from there.

My employer pays something like 9 grand a month for our comms That's a 90meg circuit, a 20 meg backup plus a 10 meg MPLS circuit
