The engine that it's built on, UE4. They licence it to studios for $LOL. Think of it like the BF series. BF3 was just a Frostbite 2 (BF4 was Frostbite 3) engine demo. Except EA/DiCE have the balls to charge stupid amounts of money for engine demos.
