In terms of tools, you should have PowerISO, Filezilla, DC++, uTorrent and WinRAR installed. Have all of them (or variations thereof) will save time if you have problems later.

GRID worked fine. Was never anything wrong with it. You selected play on lan, someone hosted a game, server went up, jobs a goodun. With GFWL you have to go through so much shit to get it to work. And even then LAN play by itself isnt totally stable.

I personally will not ever be buying it or any other game that features Games for Windows Live software. I refuse to use or support anything that is a part of that shitty shit shit software.

You should apply the UT2k4 Mega Pack. The Mega Pack includes all the maps, patches and I believe a no-cd fix as well. Downloading from steam, already has all this installed.

It isn't difficult to find. Just follow the A96 North from the Haudigain roundabout until you get to the low bridge. Follow video from there. We will try to re-do a better one for you guys.
