The camera was a bog standard USB webcam that I've had kicking around my house for years. It's a Microsoft Lifecam 1000 that took pics at 640x480. The resultant images totaled just over 170,000 taking up 10.9Gb of HDD space. The uncompressed videos took up 1.4Gb and 335Mb space respectively...

Youtube sucks. The speed at which stuff loads combined with the low res makes it dire compared with Megavideo where you get a nice big screen to watch the videos on.
