Yeah I had a bit of a problem getting it to run too. Had to download it twice for some reason and then it wouldn't open, it just flashed up a window for a split second then nothing. Closed Steam and opened it again and it decided to decrypt itself which took a while then it finally worked...

That was said from the beginning that you wouldn't be able to upgrade from XP. The only way is a full clean install.
