Trying to update Vista doesn't help. I tried to update my dad's pc to Vista SP1 but when it rebooted it was running through some file check or something and kept getting stuck. Had to revert back to the pre-install checkpoint.

Well after having little sleep since thursday morning and a lot of travelling I wasn't really in the mood to do much of everything. I got my pc setup - checked some mail and that was about it.

I think in Madman's case his laptop is much higher spec than his desktop :)

If I could get the issues worked out with the laptop I would have loved to have taken it. sure beats lugging a whole desktop setup around.

Hmm could do with the security lock if it's absolutely necessary.
