Yeah I came across that article on a quick search this morning but the problem is if I can't get into Windows I can't try any of that stuff. I don't know why it would have anything to do with software anyway since I haven't changed any settings/Installed any new drivers recently.

Hmm could be although I've had VNC running fine so I would have assumed a web client would have worked no problem.

I've been thinking about giving this a go, quickly browsed through the sci-fi section and most of them I have seen already. I suppose some free dvds for a month is good. How many do you get on the free trial tho ?

Returned the speakers today and got a new set. These ones are working fine so it looks as though it was the sub woofer connection all along.
