Hi Guys

Thank you all for coming and I hope everyone had a great weekend. This thread is a bit of a tradition now and is really important as it helps us host a better party next time. The staff do read every post in the forums and pay particular attention to this thread. If you only reply to one thread after every LAN, I'd like if it was this one. A response to this thread will be put up in a short while.

So here we go!

The Good
Smooth internet service :)
Awesome raffle prizes, massive thanks to Kustom, staff and participants for their generousity!
Loads of games played
Pizza and Chipper delivery food was hot and of really good quality
Rock Band! Taking part with Evers, Rubix and Gbot was great fun :)
Smooth set up and pack down
People helping the staff tidy up during pack down
Flat out2!

The Bad
Pack down
Back at work today :(
LAN Death (has gotta be done though :) )
Extraordinary amount of wireless devices at LAN causing a broadcast storm and interrupting with a couple of games - This will be fixed for next event as I have found the problem
Flaky Gmod and prophunt - I blame valve for updating the server binaries THREE times that weekend and plugin developers for having a weekend off from keeping their plugins up to date :)

The Ugly
Going home
Tidying up all those pizza boxes (Thanks Flukes and Gbot for a massive help with those!)
Kitchen tidy up (Thanks to a select few who helped tidy this up AGAIN, i'll be in touch!)
People who need to be shown how to use a toilet properly (Thanks Greg and Dod for coming to the rescue!)

The good!
Awesome LAN
Amazing seating position, could see the stage
Sitting next to chizzy and knotty and that behind
Playing NINJA WARRIORS! Or what ever it was called. (glad i could help with the xbox controllers)
pizza and ashvale was awesome.
Playing minecraft and winning! WOOP WOOP
Getting a t-shirt in the raffle (thank god i won it... i think alot of other would die of breathing problems XD)
TF2, medics was good team!
Chivelry wasx amazing fun!
Meeting Castiana, Gordo, and ALL others at the lan
The dudes face when we ordered so many boxes of food, and then said this "might" happen four times a year :D
going home for a quick shower on the Sunday morning, the bacon was worth it...

The bad
wake up call on monday morning be a certain socks and furry, three hours after i went to bed (I have just woke up from 14 hours of sleep, good times)
getting chivalry server up and running, ill get the files for the server BEFORE lan next time.
Having the CS:GO and not having Prophunt at all! But as dex said this will hopefully be fixed!


The ugly
The farting, by multiple people i would say adding a "gas mask" to the list of required items to bring to a lan list...
Nothing else of note, Everything else went fine!

being at work today...although wide awake due to that coffee/energy drink stuff
the occasional server drops (thats now fixed)
piglet having to dissapear for sunday
running out of hard drive space:confused:

Good:
  • Internet was stable.
  • Ashvale order - less pre-LAN shopping, better food.
  • This event felt more like one large community than usual, presumably due to more large games.
  • I managed to do a fair amount of work for my uni project.
  • Chivalry.
  • Fantastic raffle prizes.
Bad:
  • Server problems.
  • Losing every round of TF2.
  • Losing every round of CoD4.
  • Not a fan of Gun Game.
Ugly:
  • Monitor arriving in three pieces.
  • Rowdy 3:00am game of Risk II.
  • Weather made getting home each night questionable.

  • The sick condition punters leave the toilets in, this Isnt a staffing issue in the slightest. Its the Punters...
  • Arrived home, My HP array no longer exists... Still recovering it xD

Good:

  • nice to see some new and old faces.
  • cheesewheel/husky or whatever he decides to call him self now nice to have you back dude. :D
  • Raffle.
  • papa johns and ashvale orders.
  • minecraft tournament. (needs some work)
  • no more internet roulette. (well done dex)
  • rockband was again a success.
Bad:
  • mess of toilets.
  • no prophunt.
  • feeling ill on the friday.
  • having to take home alcohol.
  • kitchen mess.
  • having to tidy up on the monday.
  • annoying socks (sorry dude you know i love ya )
ugly:
  • cheesewheel :p
  • seeing niko's monitor arrive.
  • late night early morning risk think we trolled each other to the point that we were all getting bored lol.
  • gas gas gas (sorry)
