Freedom of speech is one of the most often quoted rights by gamers and people online, yet it is sadly one of the most misunderstood. In a private forum, such as the official World of Warcraft forums, or on a site like WoW.com, you don't have any inherent right to do anything. The people running the site or designing the game sets the rules.img src="http://feeds.feedburner.com/~r/digg/topic/playable_web_games/popular/~4/9NKo2oc4YbY" height="1" width="1"/

Freedom of speech is a fallacy. There is no place in the world where you can say what you like. This is a democratic country and about as free as it gets but if I walked outside right now and started yelling the N-bomb chances are I'd be in a cell within the hour.

That blog is perfectly correct, no one ever seems to realise that membership on an internet forum is a privilege not a right. You abuse the privilege and it will be taken away.

i'd say freedom of speech is more about being allowed to say what you feel.
Not about purposely insulting someone by using racial slur.
