Howdy! i was wondering if 100baset is gona be enough speed for a decent 16 port hub, to keep it future proof. Or should i consider 1000baset

I assume you mean network switch. Hubs are extremely old technology and almost completely unavailable in todays market.

I wont bother explaining the difference, needless to say

1) Nowadays you should be buying network switches not hubs
2) If you are interested in the difference then I'm quite sure you can google the difference to find out.

Back to the point though it depends entirely on what you have and what you want to do with it.

For me personally the price difference is so small that I would just go with Gigabit. This would also futureproof your stuff should you be upgrading or buying a new PC anytime soon.

As they have said, there is little price difference between small 100meg and gigabit switches, £50 looks like a good deal :)

Do it!

Due to the failures of the switches I had at DrumLAN, I would go for the 16 port switch due to that I had 7 guests and myself were gaming but needed the extra ports for the router (net access) and a server for L4D etc.

As Deep blue said the price is right but theres that blasted VAT to deal with aswell.
