not yet, as its so far away i think its best to wait a couple more months for a few of the big releases to come out.
The big ones i expect will be Left 4 Dead and Red Alert 3, personally i hope for some Multiwinia action.

I would like to withdraw my support for RA3 as a LAN game. The DRM on it means I shall not be buying it :( Which I am truely disgusted about. Makes me sick im going to miss out on it.

I Would however like to throw my full weight (there is plenty of it) behind

Left4Dead
Multiwinia
UT 3
Half Life Deathmatch
Team Fortress 2
CoD 4
TrackMania Nations Forever
Battlefield 2

And mabey some Defcon and CS:Source

All vote on free lifetime ban of $ku1! for suggesting it? needs 15 votes yes for ban XD

Not a ban. But I'l bring the tar if someone else remembers to take the feathers.

If its anything like the Bioshock DRM, where you can only install it a couple of times, then thats pretty poor show!

Dawn of War 2 is meant to be out this year also.... :D

Its essentially the same, but they have increased it to 5 installs, but you can phone them up and get an extra ones if they decide you are legit.

RA3 FTW!!!1111! come on it's a must buy and play at lan game!

The DRM on it is so restrictive I refuse to spend any money on something with such bad copy protection. I could use up five installs in a week quite legitimately and I then dont want to be begging EA to re-activate my game. If they think im spending money on that pish then they can shove the development team up their rectum.

no idea why you would re-install a game 5 times but ok.
Im not even sure if its just installs, is it not like activating the key with an online account, so if you use the same account after a re-install, you dont lose an activation?

A good game can ammount limitless installs.

From my Half Life CD I probably got at least 10 installs out of it. Thats before steam.

Starcraft I have long since lost count of how many times I have installed it. Seriously it seems every LAN I go to I install it.

I have installed RCT3 so many times the CD has started to crack.

Warcraft 3 I am on my third CD because they get chomped through.

There are loads of reasons why you could easily get more than 5 installs out of a game. If they have made a good game that will have appeal for many years (I know this is EA but bear with me) then anyone could chomp through 5 installs.

TBH though there are plenty places where this debate has raged on over the past few weeks. I would rather not start the debate here suffice to say that due to the DRM I will not be buying RA3.

It is limited to 5 installs. Not 5 accounts per key or anything like that, 5 installs.

5 accounts per key is quite reasonable copy protection. But malware being installed on my computer without my knowledge or permission is unacceptable on every level.

it only applies to online games, so if you dont play it online you have nothing to complain about.

Hi guys --

I’ve been hearing your concerns about the DRM situation and wanted to get back to you with some information about our plans. In the case of Red Alert 3 (and all PC titles coming out of EA), we will use SecuROM – the same copy protection that the EALA RTS group has used on our last three titles. This time around, however, the copy protection will be configured to be more lenient than we've supported in the past.

I know this can be somewhat of a polarizing topic, and I thought it would be best to open the lines of communication with some facts:

- We will authenticate your game online when you install and launch it the first time.

- We will never re-authenticate an installation online after the first launch. In other words, no reaching out to a central server post-install to see if you’re “allowed” to play.

- You will be able to install and play on up to five computers.

- This system means you don't have to play with the disc in your computer. Personally, I think this is a huge improvement over our previous copy protection requirements, which have always required a disk to play.

- Life happens. I know it’s unlikely, but for those unlucky few who install the game and have their machines nuked (virus, OS reinstall, major hardware upgrade, etc.) five times, EA Customer Service will be on hand to supply any additional authorizations that are warranted. This will be done on a case-by-case basis by contacting customer support.

-You can, of course, play offline without impediment or penalty.

Red Alert 3 is shaping up to be a world-class RTS game that will give you many hours of enjoyment. I think it would be a shame if people decided to not play a great game simply because it came with DRM, but I understand that this is a very personal decision for many of you and I respect that. As you might imagine, I’m a lot less respectful of those people who take the position that they will illegally download a game simply because it has DRM.

Either way, we’ re very proud of the hard work our team has put into this game and we hope you will all enjoy it when it launches.
