mouse buttons being derpy

i know a number of you heard on mumble how i was having trouble with mouse button 4 and 5 being "forward" and "back" in stuff like interner explorer firefox etc.
i just wanted to know if anyone else has encountered this problem and how(if you managed obv) to fix it as my mumble button is mouse button 4 and this gets a tad annoying

edit: Actually, i thought that was a windows option but its the mouse software.
Do you have any sofftware for your mouse?

I swapped my mouse 5 button for my mouse 4 button, this means i can still navigate through webpages and my mumble button only goes forward not back

ive disabled it in the software for my mouse however it still does it i believe its windows that does it by default with no option to turn it off -_-

PICNIC, just tested it on mine assigning that button to a different keystroke and works fine
