Ladies and Germs, it gives me great pleasure to announce the return of the BreachLAN Starcraft II tournament!

Please, hold your applause.

We hope to gather either 8 or 16 players for a spectacular bracket-style tournament showcasing the three warring factions of Starcraft II at BreachLAN 26. If you could reply to this post with your preferred participating race and rough skill level (Bronze, Silver, Gold, or Knotty) so that Highfly117 and I can draft up a bracket sheet, it would be greatly appreciated.

This tournament will be played on Heart of the Swarm edition, so learn your new units and maps!

Please, don't be afraid to sign up if you are new to the game or even just bad at it -- even the best of us sometimes forget to queue workers to mineral nodes!

If you do not have Starcraft II and are interested in participating, there is a "Demo Mode" version of the game available which will give you access to the Terran race so you can at least get the basics down.

If you have any queries or concerns about the tournament, please contact myself and I will do my best to help you get comfortable and interested in this phenomenal RTS (even if it's just understanding the basics of how to stomp).

There will be tears of joy, cries of frustration and fabulous prizes so don't delay - sign up to-DAY!

To check, they did implement that feature where anyone with a lesser expansion level (ie me, still on WoL) are automatically upped to the highest expansion level (ie HotS) that someone in a multiplayer game has, didn't they?

As far as I'm aware, the way it works is:

I have HotS, you have WoL.
I invite you to my party, you can then play HotS multiplayer with me so long as you are in the same party.
So as long as one player from each match-up has HotS, it should be fine!

If need be, we can always have Highfly or me logged in as a spectator during each match to make sure both players can use HotS units.
