System Powers but video is dead.

Hi Folks I have been giving a system from a friend that i'm trying to get running.

The System powers on and run BUT video is not showing

The motherboard has onboard video and I have tried both onboard and a pci e video card and both still no display.

any ideas guys?

Is the power supply fine? and is the 4 pin connector in?

Also has the computer been running recently, or is this a new build? apart from that, the CPU would be my guess.

i got given the computer... and dont have alot of information about it lol...so got figure out whats wrong with it.

imo sounds like the CPU then, try a spare if you have one.

Make sure the case speaker is plugged in too!

I'd try swapping the PSU first. Is the graphics card plugged into the PSU ?

ok plugged in speaker that was infront of case... no sound tried another psu... going to try and find a cpu for the board and see if the cpu is fecked.

anyone got an lga 775 intel cpu they could post to me for testing purposes? i could post it back after testing was done... i think either the mobo is dead or the cpu.. but dont know which lol
