Tournament Format
The tournament will take place in two stages. The first stage will be the group stages where everyone will be put into groups of 3-5 players (depending on number of entrants).
Group drawings will not be random. They will be weighted with an aim of higher skilled players getting through with relative ease but for as many equal skilled match ups as possible.
Everyone will play everyone else on two maps. Each player will be allowed to choose one map from the official map list which will be published after the game is released.
The total number of wins and losses for every map will be counted and the winners (and potentially runners up, depending on group sizes and numbers of groups) will proceed to the elimination stages.
The elimination stage will consist of BO3 rounds with the winners progressing past each stage. Maps will be chosen and announced before the LAN but after the game was released.
Signups are open NOW and will close on Saturday morning during BreachLAN. Post below if you want to signup and include your approximate skill level.
The tournament will start early afternoon Saturday with the aim of completing the group stages on Saturday. The elimination stage will start on Sunday with the final completed as close to the end of the LAN as possible and prize giving immediately after the final.
Please post in the thread below if you confirm you want to play in the tournament (not forgetting your approximate skill level) to help us get a rough estimate of the number of people who want to take part.
The Small Print:
