Taking a UPS would take up space that we just dont have.

I have confirmed nothing is coming from Galashiels so we have three people planned for each car as it is atm. There simply is not space for other stuff like a UPS bearing in mind we will have more kit than we would have for a breachlan. (Camping stuff etc)

The invertor devices as far as I am concerned are dangerous and I will not allow one to be used in my car. To draw 40A constantly from the battery will reduce the quality of the battery, risk taking out other electronics in the car, and quite frankly they are dangerous.

we could try just networking both cars pc to pc without a wireless router but it wont be as powerfull connection.

Between two cars surely the standard laptop signals should be enough.

Create an ad-hoc network from whatever laptop has more beef. Then on the way down me and Dave just stick close. Surely that should be strong enough.

Breachlan now has five members paid up and ready for the LAN.

We can participate in either one of the two main tournaments. So what would you guys prefer.

CounterStrike Source or Call of Duty 4

Also, expect an information pack coming out in a weeks time detailing who is taking who, pickup locations, equipment requirements etc etc.

Hmm -- I won't be able to make i36 but I'm going to try for i37. Most likely not going to take my own PC though and just pay for one down there.

I'd vote for CoD4 aswell. We can sort signups later.

I'm at work for another hour and a half, and with no work to do and the boss gone for an early flight I guess I have some time to kill :D
