That was said from the beginning that you wouldn't be able to upgrade from XP. The only way is a full clean install.

I've been running mine since last Tueday and the only problem i have encountered is that it didn't support my Microsoft Habu mouse. MS then released a patch on the Wednesday which fixed it..... not a single issue since. hurrah.

Installed win7 pro, it's even worse than the release candidate....

clean install, no AV, just drivers, download steam, install steam, takes 2 reboots to get to the steam login box, freezes on every attempt to log in to even start to download content.

Nice one Bill G..... Least with RC1 I could play games, all be it with extremely low framerates, random device driver hangups and half my cpu run time being nom nom'd on doing sweet FA :mad:

yeah, i had no problems doing a clean install. i have encountered no problems with installations of any programs

i have played several games on win 7 and they all work fine

Silly Chicken McN00blets, when will you learn that an MS O/S is never worth having before SP1 :D .......unless we're talking about ME of course

Apparently there was alot of hassle getting the student versions to work but I don't know the specifics.

I'm probably gonna hold off on installing 7 until after I38, knowing my luck something will mess up/not work right before Breach/I38.

Also forgot to ask is everyone got the 64bit version installed?

maybe a 64bit issue Dex?

I hope you mean that ME is not worth having AT ALL, rather than before SP1
