just did something a bit crazy and ordered a 3.2k laptop, predicably it comes with windows 7, was just wondering what everyone thinks of it so far and how it compares to vista

gonna use it as a desktop replacemnt so ill have my desktop and old lappy on sale in short order, but ill continue to use my 22" screen so ill be running it with 2 displays while at home

15.4" screen, core 2 duo t7500, 2gb ddr2 667, 160gb 5400rpm hdd, 256mb 8600m gt. not bad for a 2 and a half year old machine

I'm curious as to why spend that kind of cash on a laptop?
Are you really going to be able to lug around a 17" laptop like that?
I've got a 14" Vaio that has been my baby for the past 2 years, and I've lugged that EVERYWHERE! but I couldnt imagine lugging something at least twice as heavy/
Different Stroke for different Folks I guess (either that or I'm a stickler for pouring cash into less mobile rigs)

ive carried around far heavier things at work, 152x152 x 1.5m H-Beams for example, so a 5kg lappy aint gonna be a sweat

I used to fix things with a sledge hammer at work, doesn't mean I'd use the same tool on my laptop
