i quite like this particular bug. so far, the game refuses to run without massive artifacting on my 4870 but without even re-installing drivers putting in my old 4850 runs smooth as silk :| So god knows whats going on there as the 4870 is dead stable in every other game.

I still think you should go with Phenom II over i7 and with the £200-300 saved instantly on the mobo/cpu combo put some money into a decent spec SSD. I can understand if you are going to do a lot of workstation-esque stuff that the premiun of the i7 is justifed, but for gaming it just isn't...
