I've been using vista 64bit and its been fine for me, don't see why everyone even gives a toss about minor differences in performance between XP and Vista, its hardly the kind of difference that leads to a game becoming unplayable.

not counting school pc's i've only been through win 98 SE, win2k(which i didn't care for much), xp and vista. only one of those that didn't work too well was win 2k as it wasn't really made with the gamer in mind.

Nothing wrong with a 24" screen, its when you go bigger than that its a bit silly for use with a pc. Since most people sit within about 2 feet of the display.
